Citizen Sure's Q1 2026 intelligence report, released today, shows that demand for the UAE Golden Visa from European ultra-high-net-worth families has doubled year-on-year. The report attributes the surge to three converging drivers: tightening tax-residency rules in several EU member states, the maturing UAE banking infrastructure for non-resident structures, and the introduction of UAE corporate tax exemptions for qualifying single family offices.
Omar Al-Rashid, Head of GCC, said: "We're seeing a meaningful shift in how European clients position the UAE — not as a holiday-home jurisdiction, but as a primary tax residence with full economic substance. The Golden Visa is the immigration vehicle, but the structuring conversation is increasingly about substantive Dubai or DIFC operations."
