Application Fee
Definition

The non-refundable government processing fee paid on submission of a CBI / RBI application, separate from the qualifying investment and the due-diligence fee.

Also known as
Processing feeGovernment fee

The non-refundable government processing fee paid on submission of a CBI / RBI application, separate from the qualifying investment and the due-diligence fee.

Application Fees are the non-refundable government processing fees paid at the point of submission. They are separate from the qualifying investment (donation or real-estate purchase) and from the due-diligence fee paid to the external DD provider.

In the Caribbean 5, government processing fees typically run USD 5,000–10,000 per applicant including dependants. Due-diligence fees run USD 7,500–10,000 per applicant aged 16+. In Malta MEIN, total government and processing fees can exceed EUR 50,000 for a family of four.

None of these fees is refundable if the application is denied — a material consideration for applicants with elevated due-diligence risk.
