Quick answer

UAE residents can apply for St Kitts and Nevis citizenship with a USD 250,000 contribution, through a licensed agent, with an interview. What is different from the UAE

UAE citizens

UAE nationality law restricts voluntary acquisition of another nationality, which can lead to loss of UAE citizenship. This page is mainly for expatriates resident in the UAE.

Documents from two places

Expect police certificates from the UAE and your country of nationality (and others where you lived), with UAE documents attested by MOFA.

Nationality exclusions

Applications from Russian and Iranian nationals are not accepted at present, wherever they live. Other nationalities face standard enhanced due diligence.

Interview and regional rules

Since the 2024–2025 reforms, the Eastern Caribbean programmes have a common minimum price, interviews and a new regional regulator.

Routes open to you

Figures are statutory minimums from official sources. Official fees are estimates and change; our own fees are quoted for your case.

Sustainable Island State Contribution

Applicants making a government contribution (an approved real estate option also exists).

Check my eligibility

Step by step from the UAE

  1. Check eligibility

Confirm your nationality is accepted and your documents are available.

  2. Prepare documents

Police certificates (UAE and nationality), attested UAE documents, source-of-funds evidence.

  3. File through an agent

Submit through a licensed agent to the Citizenship by Investment Unit.

  4. Interview

Attend the interview required under the current rules.

  5. Contribution and oath

On approval in principle, pay the contribution, take the oath and receive the passport.

Documents and legalisation

the UAE is not in the Apostille Convention, so public documents need the full chain: attestation by the issuing authority and the foreign ministry, then legalisation by the St Kitts and Nevis embassy or consulate. Translate them with a sworn translator where required.

You will usually need a police certificate from the UAE and from every other country you have lived in recently.

Where to apply

Applications go to the Citizenship by Investment Unit through a licensed local agent; an interview is now part of the process.
