How we curate

Your shortlist, in four steps

  1. Step 1: Define the criterion

Each list answers one specific question, the cheapest CBI, the fastest residency, the strongest passport, the best fit for a US person, etc. The recipe is documented in the editorial spec.

  2. Step 2: Filter the programmes

The criterion is applied as a transparent filter against the live Programmes collection. Programmes that fail the filter are dropped; partial matches are flagged.

  3. Step 3: Rank by fit

The remaining programmes are ranked by a per-list scoring recipe (investment, processing speed, family inclusion, tax, visa-free reach) weighted to the criterion.

  4. Step 4: Senior-advisor review

Every list is reviewed quarterly by a senior partner. Mid-cycle policy changes (e.g. a programme suspending real-estate routes) trigger an immediate re-render.

Frequently asked questions

How are these lists ranked?

Every list applies a transparent filter against the live Programmes collection (e.g. "investmentUSD ≤ 250000" for the under-$250K list), then ranks the survivors by a per-list scoring recipe weighted to the criterion. The recipes live in the persona records and are reviewed by a senior partner each quarter.

Are the rankings affected by partner relationships?

No. Citizen Sure does not accept developer commissions or kickbacks from any programme operator, sponsor, or financial intermediary. Editorial rankings are independent of the engagement-fee model, see the SiteSettings → Legal & Compliance footer for our full conflict-of-interest policy.

How often are the lists refreshed?

The Programmes data renders live on every request (with a 1-hour cache). Editorial recipes are reviewed quarterly. Mid-cycle policy changes (e.g. a country suspending its real-estate route) trigger an immediate re-render with an editorial flag at the top of the affected list.

Can I get a list tailored to my specific situation?

Yes, the most accurate shortlist is always one a senior advisor builds against your specific tax position, family profile, banking constraints, and timeline. Book a 60-minute call and we'll deliver a 2-3 programme shortlist with the trade-offs explained per option.

How are the lists put together?

Each list applies one criterion, such as speed, family inclusion or travel access, to the active programmes in our database and ranks them by fit. Discontinued programmes are left out.

Do programmes pay to appear on these lists?

No. Rankings are editorial and are not sold to programme operators, developers or agents.

How often are the lists updated?

The lists read from live programme records, so they change when a programme record is updated, added or closed.
